FAQ
What does StereoEyes do?
StereoEyes is a visualization tool designed to analyze and display the stereo field of audio in real time. It provides a unique representation of sound, using a graph where the X-axis shows stereo width, the Y-axis indicates amplitude (or loudness), and color represents frequency. Over time, this visualization creates a dynamic, multidimensional view of how audio frequencies are distributed across the stereo field.
StereoEyes offers valuable insight into the spatial characteristics of audio. This helps producers identify imbalances, fine-tune stereo imaging, or simply better understand the stereo placement of different elements in a mix. With features like graph zooming, frequency color customization, and easy preset saving, StereoEyes is an essential tool for analyzing audio and achieving precision in stereo sound design.

What do the colors represent?
The colors in StereoEyes represent different frequency ranges, giving you an immediate visual reference for the spectral content of your audio. Each color corresponds to a specific part of the frequency spectrum, and the colors can be changed using the ‘LINE COLOR’ buttons. The leftmost buttons represent lower frequencies, like bass, and the rightmost buttons represent higher frequencies, such as treble. This intuitive color coding allows you to identify the distribution of your sound across the stereo field and frequency spectrum at a glance.
By tracking these colors, you can better understand how different elements of your mix are positioned and balanced. Whether you’re adjusting the width of a bassline, focusing on the placement of a vocal, or fine-tuning high-end details, the color visualization provides an essential tool for precision mixing and spatial awareness.
